Our field of intervention?
The centre’s field of research and intervention is that of cultural mediation, understood as a professional field of cultural action in which strategies, mechanisms, and tools are formulated to improve access to cultural productions and encourage citizens’ cultural expression. At the crossroads of the cultural and social spheres, cultural mediation is defined as a process of transmission and appropriation of meaning through a personalized and living relationship between cultural references and individuals. Ultimately, cultural mediation aims for personal development and empowerment, as well as cultural inclusion and citizen participation.
Our targets ?
Social and cultural organizations, educational institutions, municipal administrations, and professional art circles are invited to take part in the centre’s projects and become members of the organization.
ARTENSO trains, supports, and coaches all groups wishing to initiate research and cultural mediation projects involving creation or intervention. The centre contributes to the implementation of projects, from conception to evaluation, from mobilization to dissemination.
